Wooden\u2019s success, both recently and over its 50-year history, made the merger a logical and beneficial business decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"135\" height=\"135\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Freyberger-Greg_Circle.srl-crop-1.png\" alt=\"Wooden partner\" class=\"wp-image-5913\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen you practice law and you do it well, your clients grow and you have to grow with them,\u201d said Wooden partner Greg Freyberger, who will lead Dinsmore\u2019s Evansville office. \u201cWe\u2019ve done a good job of helping our clients grow, and now we need the resources to continue fostering their success. The merger with Dinsmore makes that possible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Market commentators have noted Dinsmore\u2019s momentum. In June, the National Law Journal named Dinsmore one of four American <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.com\/nationallawjournal\/2020\/06\/23\/the-nlj-500-four-law-firms-to-note-2\/\">\u201cfirms to note.\u201d<\/a> That same month, Dinsmore also earned the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/news\/dinsmore-makes-largest-jump-of-any-firm-in-nlj-500-named-among-four-law-firms-of-note\/\">largest year-over-year leap<\/a> of any firm listed in the 2020 NLJ 500, after it grew by 16.5 percent in head count over the previous 12 months\u2014660 percent of the national average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The move into Indiana continues the firm\u2019s national buildout from coast to coast and is a natural expansion of Dinsmore\u2019s strong Midwestern presence in Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois and Kentucky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"100\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Vincent-George_Circle.srl-crop-1.png\" alt=\"Dinsmore Chairman and Managing Partner\" class=\"wp-image-5915\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve always believed in having a renewable five-year plan and working back from where you want to be,\u201d said Dinsmore Chairman and Managing Partner George Vincent. \u201cFive years ago, we wanted to be in Boston, Florida and Indiana, and we\u2019ve done all of those things. We are in every state surrounding Indiana, so it is a natural place for us to be. There are significant opportunities for new and existing Dinsmore clients there, and Wooden has a great legacy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wooden\u2019s seven Evansville litigators will join Dinsmore\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/litigation\/\">commercial litigation group<\/a> of 290-plus attorneys across the country. That added national footprint enables the Evansville attorneys to offer their clients a different horsepower of service without sacrificing any accessibility or reliability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s important for Evansville and our clients to understand this merger is hugely beneficial for them,\u201d Freyberger said. \u201cWe still live here, work here and offer the same representation, but we now have a significantly expanded ability to serve our clients. Because we\u2019re part of Dinsmore now, we have offices in 29 cities across the country and offer services that we couldn\u2019t before. We are much deeper and have a vastly wider net of legal services to offer the people of Evansville.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond business offerings, Wooden\u2019s leadership found a natural cultural fit between the two firms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"135\" height=\"135\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Rabinowitch-Misha_Circle.srl-crop-1.png\" alt=\"Wooden partner\" class=\"wp-image-5918\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve been approached for the last 15 years by firms interested in merging,\u201d said Wooden partner Misha Rabinowitch, who will lead Dinsmore\u2019s Indianapolis and Bloomington offices. \u201cWe\u2019ve always resisted, but when we were approached by Dinsmore, we had to take a serious look because the culture they\u2019ve developed is just like ours.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are both very involved in the community,\u201d Freyberger added. \u201cWe both work with non-profits, sit on boards and are out at community meetings. We saw this as an opportunity to add significant resources in Evansville with a firm that believes in the same values as us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All three offices will remain in their current locations. This is Dinsmore\u2019s second substantial expansion in under a year, after it opened its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/news\/6-business-law-attorneys-open-dinsmores-1st-florida-office\/\">first Florida office (Tampa)<\/a> last February.
