An excerpt is below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"66XPSYBZTNAIPG3NHRR4VMBHLQ\"><em>While asking about vaccination upfront, or even including it in job requirements, felt intrusive to some, legally it\u2019s been done before and will likely continue, employment attorney James Reid said.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"TSYDP4QN6ZH6DGBDKQXMZ5TLDE\"><em>Reid likens it to drug testing or screening social media during the application process. He also notes that private employers have the right to deny constitutional liberties like the right to bear arms if they set a workplace standard that employees cannot carry firearms while at work.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/srl-crops\/Reid-James_Circle.srl-crop-1.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"B7NBAHM7DRFCRACWQFMDOKQXXU\"><em>\u201cA lot of your constitutional rights don\u2019t apply in private employment,\u201d he said. \u201cEmployers are able to make any policy they want that isn\u2019t illegal.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"SXAK4AD6IFCWTLYR5ZTBFOXJUE\"><em>Employers still have the legal standing to implement some sort of COVID-19 policies, including vaccination, as long as they provide religious and medical exemptions.
