{"id":56328,"date":"2022-01-12T20:09:18","date_gmt":"2022-01-12T20:09:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/?p=56328"},"modified":"2025-12-12T23:19:10","modified_gmt":"2025-12-12T23:19:10","slug":"dinsmore-names-michael-paul-new-denver-office-managing-partner-plans-continued-local-expansion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/news\/dinsmore-names-michael-paul-new-denver-office-managing-partner-plans-continued-local-expansion\/","title":{"rendered":"Dinsmore Names Michael Paul New Denver Office Managing Partner, Plans Continued Local Expansion"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/DB.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Dinsmore &amp; Shohl LLP flags continued expansion plans for the Colorado market with the announcement that construction partner Michael Paul is&nbsp;the national firm\u2019s new office managing partner in Denver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/news\/addition-of-six-construction-litigators-in-denver-will-be-catalyst-for-future-growth-at-dinsmore\/\">Paul joined Dinsmore<\/a> along with a group of six construction litigators in July of last year from a regional firm where he practiced for 12 years. That move was the first of several in recent months signaling Dinsmore\u2019s increased focus on the needs of clients and businesses in the Rocky Mountain region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the months closing 2021, the firm demonstrated continuing momentum with the addition of three commercial litigators (Alexander Wright, Paige Johnson and Michael Xavier, <em>each pictured below<\/em>) as well as public finance partner Lewis Diaz in Denver. In total, Dinsmore added 17 new faces in Denver in 2021 (10 attorneys, seven staff). This mirrors Dinsmore\u2019s growth across the nation, as the firm\u2019s total attorney headcount increased by nearly 14% throughout 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-nowrap is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-6c531013 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/srl-crops\/Wright-Alexander_Circle.srl-crop-2.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/srl-crops\/Johnson-Paige_Circle-1.srl-crop-2.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/srl-crops\/Xavier-Michael_Circle.srl-crop-2.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dinsmore.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/srl-crops\/Diaz-Lewis_Circle.srl-crop-2.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m excited to continue our growth and success in Denver,\u201d Paul said. \u201cJoining Dinsmore was just the beginning. With all of the new attorneys coming over in the past six months, we are currently out of office space, so we are in the process of increasing our square footage significantly to accommodate our current roster as well as our planned expansion.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The office opened in 2014 when Dinsmore merged with Peck Shaffer &amp; Williams LLP and was capably helmed by public finance partner Erich Kennedy until Paul took over on Jan. 1, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul described Dinsmore\u2019s offering in Colorado as \u201coutstanding in the areas of litigation and public finance,\u201d with the ability to \u201chelp any client in almost any matter.\u201d But he intends to greatly expand the local services available to clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn the immediate term, we are planning to expand our practice groups,\u201d he said. \u201cWe are actively looking to add attorneys in employment, environmental, corporate and intellectual property law. Long term, we plan to be a prominent player in the entire Rocky Mountain region.
