She brings an essential understanding of West Virginia education law and policy, enhancing the service clients already receive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tuckwiller has managed teacher licensure proceedings for the state superintendent and will advise counties on employee discipline, both before and during the grievance process. She understands nuances of student discipline, special education issues\u2014including IDEA, IEPs, and \u00a7504 plans\u2014and policy drafting. Tuckwiller is also well versed in the Open Meetings Act and FOIA management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs a former teacher, I understand first-hand the hard work of our school system employees,\u201d she said.&nbsp; \u201cI look forward to applying all that I have learned over the past seven years of government service to provide robust and informed counsel to our clients. My return to Dinsmore is natural, and I am thrilled to be back.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dinsmore Education Practice Group Chair Jason Long is similarly excited for the enhanced service clients will receive from Tuckwiller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe provide a broad and personalized service to our county education clients,\u201d he said. \u201cMC knows the key issues in education law.She knows the approaches that work and those that don\u2019t, and she will guide our clients in the right direction.
