Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is proud to announce 10 of its Cincinnati-based attorneys have been elected to partnership, effective Jan. 1, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They include attorneys from multiple practice groups, including intellectual property, corporate, litigation, labor and employment, cybersecurity, and mergers and acquisitions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spoke with eight of Dinsmore\u2019s new partners. See what they had to say about this career milestone below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tony Bickel, Corporate & Transactional:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBeing voted to the partnership at Dinsmore ranks at the top of my current career achievements. The honor of being formally accepted as a peer by the leaders of the firm has not been matched to date. Entering partnership has the feeling of a second career with a brand new set of goals. I am excited to continue to develop both as an attorney and as an owner of the business.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jerrad Howard, Mergers & Acquisitions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMy success as an associate was built on the support and guidance I\u2019ve received from remarkable attorneys at Dinsmore who excel in a variety of fields. When I think of career achievements, I think of those matters\u2014guiding clients through crises, completing difficult negotiations, winning bet-the-company proceedings\u2014and generally having those moments where I know I\u2019ve helped a client achieve a goal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lauren Ingebritson, Intellectual Property:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBy far, my biggest career achievements all relate to advocating on behalf of clients, both in and out of the courtroom, but making partner and being recognized for those substantive achievements is certainly icing on the cake. My goal is to continue building my reputation as a go-to IP litigator and licensing attorney, and to help continue the growth of our IP group\u2019s national reputation and presence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Allison Knerr, Litigation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMaking partner is a great achievement, but I\u2019m hopeful it is just the beginning. I\u2019m also proud of my work in the courtroom, which is by far my favorite part of being a litigator. Obtaining a defense verdict out of a three-week trial and a cross-examination of a challenging neuroradiologist expert witness have been my favorite experiences to date. I hope to continue to grow my practice and expand my trial experience. Cincinnati is still, at its heart, a small-town legal community, and as I grow in my career, I hope to have a reputation as an attorney who provides excellent legal service in an ethical and efficient manner.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Michael Mattingly, Labor and Employment:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI am very proud of being elected to partner at Dinsmore. I equate this career progression to when I became a captain in the Army. While I still have a lot to learn, clients and other attorneys recognize that I have sufficient experience to properly advise them in important legal matters. It feels like my career is just beginning, and that\u2019s exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nicole Nan, Intellectual Property:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI joined Dinsmore as a summer associate following my 2L year of law school, and I jumped at the chance to join after graduation as an associate. I\u2019ve been here ever since, and making partner at Dinsmore is a meaningful and exciting event for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMy goal is to grow my licensing practice and contribute to the growth of the firm and its IP practice. My niche area is collaboration agreements of any kind\u2013especially those with universities\u2013and I\u2019m excited for the new opportunities that follow this career milestone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Eric Quinn, Mergers & Acquisitions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI started at Dinsmore right out of law school, and it has always been my goal to join the partnership, so I\u2019m incredibly excited about this next chapter. So many of the partners here have provided invaluable mentorship to me over the years. I\u2019m eager to do the same with our talented group of junior attorneys. I\u2019m also looking forward to leveraging my own expertise, as well as that of my partners, and using the incredible platform we have at Dinsmore to help clients achieve their business goals.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sarah Cameron, Litigation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Sarah\u2019spractice is primarily focused on defending business entities and professionals in contract-related and business tort litigation. She has experience in complex commercial litigation and has first-chair bench and jury-trial experience. Additionally, she has successfully represented clients in appellate court and in alternative dispute resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cory Ingle, Intellectual Property:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Cory concentrates his practice on intellectual property law with a focus on patent application preparation and prosecution.
