ENERGY SUPPLY MATTER<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has represented both producers and electric utilities in coal and other mineral supply matters\u2014producers in Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Montana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Wyoming, and electric utilities in Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. His producer clients have included Armco Steel, Bethlehem Steel, Consolidation Coal, Mobil, Peabody Coal, Rochester and Pittsburgh Coal, TECO Coal, TOSCO Corporation, Western Energy and a joint venture between Alcoa and Kaiser Aluminum concerning Jamaican bauxite. He represented Equitable Gas in the Columbia Transmission bankruptcy, a case involving thirteen billion dollars in claims due to Columbia’s rejection of some 4,000 gas supply contracts. His utility clients have included Duquesne Light, Kentucky Utilities, Oklahoma Gas and Electric, Sierra Pacific Power, Tampa Electric and the City of Springfield, IL. He testified as an expert witness before the Kentucky Public Service Commission and the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada, and in commercial arbitrations in Florida, Illinois, Indiana and Utah. He was selected to serve as a party-appointed arbitrator several times, three times by Peabody Coal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT LAW MATTERS<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ed’s labor and employment law experience has included union election campaigns, unfair labor practice hearings, collective bargaining negotiations, arbitrations and litigation before the U.S. Departments of Labor and Interior, the EEOC and analogous state agencies in California, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia. His labor and employment clients have included Consolidation Coal, Duquesne Light, Federated Investors, Joy Mining Machinery, Mobil, Mellon Bank and the City of Fairmont, WV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
